Native Title Holders, The Gudang / Yadhaykenu Tribal Clan Group, and a company founded by Bill Moss AO Boston Indigenous Leisure and Tourism (BILT) have announced a partnership to develop the Tip of Cape York in Far North Queensland.
This historic signing will see economic development undertaken in the areas of tourism, leisure and agriculture, that will create a sustainable economic base for the Gudang / Yadhaykenu Tribal clans people with a series of charitable trusts being developed in the areas of health, education and employment for the benefit of current and future generations.
The Gudang / Yadhaykenu Country covers over one million acres on the east side of the northern peninsula of Cape York.
Bill Moss AO, philanthropist and former Executive Director of Macquarie Bank, is an advocate for the indigenous empowerment of Australia’s First Nations Peoples and their rights to be economically independent in business.
Jason Irvine, Executive Director of BILT, and the Wyamarra family on behalf of the Gudang / Yadhaykenu tribal clans have been in discussions for the past year to establish a unique business model which supports local business initiatives and will attract investors and philanthropists.
