FSHD Global Research Foundation recently visited the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute (MCRI) and The Royal Children’s Hospital to review the critical paediatric FSHD research being conducted at these world-class institutions.
Early Onset FSHD represents a more severe form of the disease, making dedicated research for younger patients essential. As clinical trials for FSHD therapies continue to progress, ensuring these potential treatments can safely and effectively extend to children is a vital priority.
Through our partnership with MCRI and RCH, FSHD Global is funding important paediatric research that will help bridge this gap and ensure no child living with FSHD is left behind in the journey toward effective treatments and, ultimately, a cure.
This collaboration reflects our commitment to supporting the entire FSHD community, patients of all ages, as we work together to give life to muscles.
